Recent Graduates with experience in Managed Care, Hospital, Retail, mail order, LTC, or Home Care experience. Managed care experience is preferred but not required.
Training is 2 weeks and training hours are from 9-5:30
HOURS AFTER TRAINING: Flexible Schedule 10:00-6:30 and 11:30-8:00
MAJOR Responsibility:
Coverage determinations/formulary exceptions and appeals under Medicare Part D. Making medical necessity determinations for medications requested through the formulary exceptions and appeals process. Require candidates with strong clinical skills - (through current work practice or demonstrated upon interview). Technology Basic knowledge of MS Windows operating system Basic to intermediate skills using MS Office applications (MS Word and MS Excel at a minimum) Experience using email systems - MS Outlook or Outlook Express preferred. Ability to move quickly through different systems and databa! ses. Experience using a web browser. Experience using on-line ! clinical references and accessing professional (clinical and regulatory) internet sites. Experience working with on-screen document images a plus. Language: Fluent English speaking skills. Able to communicate effectively and professionally in writing. Interpersonal. Able to work effectively in team environment and interact with colleagues in a professional and supportive manner. Able to communicate effectively and at the appropriate level with healthcare professionals, peers and consumers. Strong customer service skills including knowledge of standard phone etiquette, problem solving and customer interfacing skills. Organized, detail oriented and excellent on follow-up. Professional Career focused with a desire to work in a dynamic professional environment. Able to work flexible schedules (including working until 8 pm weekdays) and rotate job functions. This is an onsite position at our Baltimore Camden Yards office.
