SUMMARY:
Pharmacist will serve as a health practitioner who specializes in dispensing drugs prescribed by a physician and provide information ! to patients about their side effects and use. Must understand the composition of medicines, as well as the laws that
regulate their manufacture and sale. They order and store medicines, keeping them safe, pure, and effective. They are required by law to maintain records of the drugs they handle.
Responsibilities/Duties
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coverage determinations/formulary exceptions and appeals under Medicare Part D.
Making medical necessity determinations for medications requested through the formulary exceptions and appeals process.
Require candidates with strong clinical skills - (through current work practice or demonstrated upon interview).
Technology Basic knowledge of MS Windows operating system Basic to intermediate skills using MS Office applications (MS Word and MS Excel at a minimum) Experience using email systems - MS Outlook or Outlook Express preferred.
Ability to move quickly through different systems and databas! es. Experience using a web browser.
Experience using on-li! ne clinical references and accessing professional (clinical and regulatory) internet sites.
Experience working with on-screen document images a plus. Language: Fluent English speaking skills.
Able to communicate effectively and professionally in writing.
Interpersonal.
Able to work effectively in team environment and interact with colleagues in a professional and supportive manner.
Able to communicate effectively and at the appropriate level with healthcare professionals, peers and consumers.
Strong customer service skills including knowledge of standard phone etiquette, problem solving and customer interfacing skills.
Organized, detail oriented and excellent on follow-up.

Able to work flexible schedules (including working until 8 pm weekdays) and rotate job functions.
This is an onsite position at our Baltimore Camden Yards office.
Re! quired Education Pharmacist Candidate Profile: Licensure: Maryland Pharmacist License in good standing.

Details of the Job:
Training is 2 weeks and training hours are from Monday thru Friday from 9a-5:30p
HOURS AFTER TRAINING: Flexible Schedule 10:00a-6:30p and 11:30a-8:00p
Pharmacist Candidate Profile: Licensure: Maryland Pharmacist License in good standing.
**Pharm D is required for this position. Pharmacist must be flexible to work hours listed in the posting.
Recent Graduates with experience in Managed Care, Hospital, Retail, mail order, LTC, or Home Care experience. Managed care experience is preferred but not required.
