Responsibilities

Further responsibilities include maintaining complete, timely, and accurate documentation o! f all Coverage Determination/Appeals requests, Communicating to the physician’s office, pharmacies, intake etc. as needed, Escalating issues to the Coverage Determinations/Appeals Clinical Pharmacists as needed. Managing patient accounts Data Entry Researching insurance coverage Obtaining authorizations Resolving any billing and collections issues Interacting with physicians, patients, insurers and pharmaceutical representatives to process requests via phone, email or fax Work with non-profit patient assistance programs Maintaining a database of patient, insurance and physician information providing clear and concise documentation Designated Single Point of Contact for selected "high-touch" offices Conducts accurate Quality Assurance checks of cases that are presented for triage to Specialty Pharmacies

This position takes in-coming calls from members, providers, etc providing professional phone assistance to all callers through the criteria based prior authorizat! ion process. Maintains complete, timely and accurate documenta! tion of all approvals and denials. Insurance Verification and Prior Authorization High School Diploma or GED required. Clear Drug screen and background check
