Position Title: Pricing Analyst

Job Summary:
  • Ensure accuracy and efficiency of all Pricing & Rebate related tasks within the Newell APAC SAP system and any other relevant programs or bolt on systems.
  • Provide support and guidance to the Business on the maintenance and/or creation of pricing & rebate records (this includes but not limited to list prices, contract and promotional pricing; trading terms and manual rebates).
  • Provide support and guidance to the Business on process improvement and data simplification.
  • Work closely with customer service to ensure order flow and prevention of order holds due to pricing exceptions. Provide trouble-shooting where there are exceptions.
  • This position interacts with many areas of the Business on many levels. The Pricing Analyst will possess exceptional communication skills. An exemplary eye for detail to ensure accuracy of data entry is essential.

Job Duties:
  • Processing of Pricing information as required by the business within SAP and all associated systems and documents while maintaining a central repository for this information. All tasks are to be conducted within required timeframes:
    • APAC List price input and maintenance
    • APAC Promotional price input and maintenance
    • APAC Contract price input and maintenance
    • Maintain and update the discount matrix (customer discounts)
    • Effectively implement price increases when directed, this work will include providing assistance with contract price review and current list prices.
    • Provide Customers with electronic price files as required
    • Review Customer Data Files, and update any discrepancies as directed
    • Creation and Distribution of monthly templates and reports
  • Investigate and resolve pricing issues
  • Actively investigate, suggest and implement improved processes
  • Provide guidance with any Schedule of Authority query
  • Maintain adequate confidentiality of all data whilst ensuring all data entry and related processes meet Sabanes Oxley (SOX) requirements and are in line with the company’s schedule of authority and system standards

Job Requirements:
  • Successful completion of Secondary Education
  • Tertiary Qualification in related business studies is preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience with Business databases
  • Previous experience in FMCG Business
  • Experience with SAP
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal (English & Japanese)
  • Is forthcoming with information and can share information with other team members
  • Considers impact of actions on others in the organisation
  • Makes effective use of time in carrying out responsibilities
  • Strong issue resolution skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Solid follow up skills
  • Able to work with limited supervision
