Staff Pharmacist
Location: Hampstead, Maryland
Description: Weis Markets is currently seeking to employ Staff Pharmacist right now, this position will be delegated in Maryland. Position reports to the Pharmacy Manager and assists with the management of pharmacy operations and staff for assigned department. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assist in the successful operation of the department including maximizing gross margins, ensuring sales production, and controlling inventory and expenses.
- Supervise the accurate and efficient filling and dispensing of all written and oral prescriptions.
- Provide patient consultation/education on all prescriptions.
- Meet minimum federal, state, and corporate standards for patient care.
- Ensure that all pharmacy department associates provide outstanding customer service.
- Assist the Pharmacy Manager, as needed, with interviewing, staffing, management and development of hourly associates.
- Ensure compliance with all corporate policies and procedures as well as all federal and state drug laws.
- Stay abreast of changes within the profession of pharmacy regarding standard of practice. Take an active role in the future of the profession.
Bachelor of Pharmacy or Pharm D
Current Maryland Pharmacist License
Current Maryland Immunization License
