Work with doctors and caregivers to determine medications and dosing that will best meet a patient's mental health needs.
Disp! ense prescribed medications and, if necessary, compound medications not otherwise available.
Keep detailed records of all medications coming into and leaving the pharmacy.
Patient Care
Educate patients and families regarding mental health medications and side effects and also answer health and medication questions not related to psychiatric diseases.
Conduct patient review committees
Play an active role in consulting on treatment options
Education Requirements
PharmD from an accredited school of pharmacy for desired state.
Board Certified Psychiatric Pharmacist preferred
