The position is located in various hospitals and medical clinics located within How! ard County and Baltimore, MD. Job Purpose:
The Pharmacy Technician will support pharmacological services by stocking, assembling, and distributing medications.
Duties:
- Help health care providers and patients by greeting them in person and by phone; answering questions and requests; referring inquiries to the pharmacist.
- Maintain pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed medications and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt; removing outdated drugs.
- Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
- Organize medications for pharmacist to dispense by reading medication orders and prescriptions; prepar! ing labels; calculating quantities; assembling intravenous sol! utions and other pharmaceutical therapies.
- Maintain records by recording and filing physicians' orders and prescriptions.
- Generate revenues by calculating, recording, and issuing charges.
- Ensure medication availability by delivering medications to patients and departments.
- Prepare reports by collecting and summarizing information.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Must have minimum 2+ years Pharmacy Technician experience within a hospital or retail pharmacy settings.
- Must have degree or certification

- Must pass criminal background check and health and drug screen
- Must be available to start immediately
