• 5+ years of SQL experience
• Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
• Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
• Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
• Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining
• Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs
• Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
• Experience in the data/BI space

Are you interested in working in a high impact role and with exposure to senior leaders? International Technology (INTech) is looking for a talented Senior Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) to work with our Selection Expansion tech team to drive selection growth and improve the Seller journey for our European and World-Wide customers. You will collaborate closely with business, product management, and data engineering teams, own the development of analytics dashboards and deep-dive tools, and influence our product roadmaps using data and insights.
You will be experienced in translating customer and business opportunities into new business intelligence solutions and be passionate about working with big data sets, driving data driven decisions and building models that answer critical questions for our stakeholders. Strong experience in SQL, Redshift, development of metrics, and dashboards using tools such as Quicksight/Tableau is a must; experience in programming, feature engineering, or data science is also advantageous.

Key job responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, and self-service dashboards etc. to support analytical and business needs
• Develop queries and visualizations, and use analytical/statistical rigor to solve complex problems and drive product roadmap decisions
• Write high quality SQL code to retrieve and analyze large data sets from database tables (e.g. Redshift)

A day in the life

• You design and orchestrate ETL data pipelines to automate processes using tools like Airflow.
• You write and optimize SQL and pyspark code using several AWS products as part of your data pipeline implementation and ensure data quality of the metrics is maintained.
• You understand business KPIs, and how they are generated. You know the necessary data sources for its calculation or where to find them.
• You work together with Data engineers for the ETL platform set up, code reviews and all clusters related topics.
• You create and enable dynamic data visualizations for stakeholders to drive insights at all granularity levels.
• You partner with PMTs to provide data for periodic business reviews together with supportive narrative for leadership.
