The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Pharmacy and Pharmacy Manager of Specialty Pharmacy in the preparation of Specia! lty Pharmacy prescriptions, processing of third party payments, maintaining the Pharmacy Department, ship and receive materials to operation the pharmacy and provide excellent customer service, and promote the business to obtain new customers. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned: 1. Perform all functions and duties of a Pharmacy Service Representative to ensure prompt service in the Specialty Pharmacy. 2. Perform computer entry of prescription information including but not limited to: patient search, prescriber search, drug selection, prescription interpretation & entry, insurance billing and basic problem resolution. 3. Prepare prescriptions and product for pharmacist as permitted by state law. 4. Administer patient medication and care management pr! ograms. 5. Assist with maintaining the Pharmacy department by ! keeping it clean and in order. 6. Perform patient benefit investigation. 7. Reconstitute and prepare oral and IV medications where permitted by state law. 8. Assist in inventory management processes including: order review, inventory returns, restocking shelves, and physical inventory preparation.

Experience / Requirements:
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, the associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Mathematical Sk! ills Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Other Skills, Abilities, and/or Training

The following qualities are helpful:
 Ten-key punch speed of four thousand (4,000) SPH.  Typing speed of forty (40) WPM.  Proficiency with the Microsoft® Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access). PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The associate is:

 Regularly required to do the following activities:

Education:
Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED), plus one (1) year experience in specialty or retail pharmacy; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND/OR REGISTRATIONS This position requires the following licenses and/or certifications:  Pharmacy Technician registration, certification, and or licensure as required by state law.  Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) CPhT required.
