OVERVIEW

Medical Science & Computing (MSC) seeks a Biomedical Clinical Resea rch Information Specialist (Pharmacist) to help shape and support large scale national and international biomedical research projects and standards efforts for the National Cancer Institute (NCI). Participate in NCI cutting edge initiatives including Precision Medicine, the Cancer Research Data Commons, Cancer Moonshot, Clinical Trials, and other frontiers of cancer research, while building information services and standards used by U.S. and global researchers, regulators, caregivers, and patients.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You will be part of a cross-disciplinary team involving doctors, nurses, researchers, pharmacists, software developers, and information systems teams.
  • Leverage your pharmacy, oncology and informatics expertise, analytical skills, and talent at developing information systems, to help us build clinical, pharmacology and scientific resources.
  • Work w ith diverse programs, projects, and partners to develop pharmacologic, clinical and science applications, and to set national and international standards for oncology and biomedical knowledge and systems.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Doctor of Pharmacy Degree, Registered Pharmacist preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of pharmacology, pharmacotherapy, and biomedical knowledge representation.
  • Experience compatible with the position description.
  • Strong oral and written English language skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Desire and ability to learn and work with terminology/ontology editing software.
