The Business Architect/Analyst works closely with all ASHP divisions/offices to study workflows and processes, in order to identify more efficient means of how technology can a! ssist in accomplishing operational and strategic goals of the organization. Makes recommendations to better use existing and/or new technology to the information technology team, technology steering committee, and stakeholders. Also works closely with various business units to identify areas where technology can support, enhance, and deliver products and services.
Works with an inter-divisional team to refine and implement the proposed solution, and works with the IT/operations senior training manager to ensure sustained ability.
Conducts operational effectiveness reviews on a periodic basis to ensure workflow/technology changes are applied and functioning as intended. If new requirements or enhanced technology are available, the processes are reviewed for solutions that better meet the needs of the organization.
Contributes to the development of training programs, educational tools and materials. Assists staff in the functional areas to develop and maintain doc! umentation and procedure manuals.

ÂDocuments findings and recommends use of technology and new procedures to management.
ÂMonitors newly implemented systems to assure their smooth function.
ÂApplies in-depth professional-level knowledge to independently solve a full range of complex problems.
ÂWorks as a liaison between technology and staff.
ÂManages the conflicting priorities of needs, wants and available solutions.
ÂReviews, analyzes and evaluates client needs and business systems.
ÂParticipates in industry and other professional networks to ensure awar! eness of industry standards, trends and best practices in order to strengthen organizational and technical knowledge.
ÂAchieves and maintains excellent interpersonal relations with all constituencies, including division leaders, exempt and non-exempt staff and practice and promote open communication.
ÂProvides necessary reporting to management as required.
Specific Responsibilities:
ÂAnalyzes end-user business requirements and determines if needs can be met with existing systems.
ÂConsults with staff and/operational areas to develop and document detailed business requirements.
ÂContributes to the development of test plans and test case selection; coordinates and/or performs testing.
ÂAnalyzes, refines and documents user requirements, including functional objectives, reports requirements and cross-system integration requirements.
ÂMaintains well-versed knowledge of all key strategic technologies at ASHP.
ÂUtilizes the l! atest technologies and techniques to evaluate business processes.
Â! Reevaluates workflows and related technology solutions as upgrades become available. May take the form of assistance in acceptance testing of the new packages. If part of a testing evolution, diagnoses and reports software failures as per established procedures.
ÂIdentifies processes that are not supported by current systems.
ÂDevelops a personal education plan to address the on-going skills needed for this assignment.
ÂParticipates in staff training and meetings, as needed and required.
ÂPerforms other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
ÂA four-year degree in information systems, business, or software related field. This requirement can be satisfied with job experience.
ÂA minimum of four years of experience analyzing business processes and/or matching business processes to information technology solutions that led to successful completion.
ÂStrong organizational skills.
ÂExcellent oral communication.
ÂAbility ! to lead and facilitate meetings.
ÂAdapts easily to changing priorities.
ÂClose attention to detail and good listening skills.
ÂStrong teamwork and negotiation skills.
ÂAbility to write complete, clear, accurate requirements and specifications.
ÂExperience working in or for an association or professional society is a plus.
