Responsibilities
Prepares and dispenses medications.
Utilizes pharmacy support personnel.
Provides in-service education for physicians, nurses, and other practitioners
Designs, recommends, monitors, and evaluates patient-specific pharmacotherapy.
Helps assure adherence to medication-use policies
Participates in the formulary process.
Complies with all accreditation, regulatory and safety requirements.
Responds to requests for drug information.
Ensures continuity of pharmaceutical care.
Participates in departmental performance improvement program.
Participates in the process for assessing, managing and reporting medication errors.
Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics:
Gradu! ate of an accredited School o Pharmacy (BS/PharmD degree)
!
Licensed Pharmacist in the State of Maryland required.
Membership in American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, Maryland Society of Health-System Pharmacist desirable.
Cerner solutions inpatient product knowledge
Strong customer service skills.
Ability to handle multi-task environment and medical emergencies.
Basic PC skills such as Microsoft Word and department specific software programs.
Ability to communicate verbally in good English.
Hospital experience desirable.

ADVENTIST HEALTHCARE is seeking an experienced Licensed Pharmacist in the State of Maryland to join our team at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital. Shady Grove Hospital is a 339-licensed bed acute care facility located in Rockville, MD.
The staff clinical pharmacist is responsible for compounding and dispensing medications, evaluating patients for appropriate medication usage and dosing, providing patie! nt education, and supervising pharmacy technicians in the preparation of medications.
Shift: Temporary Full-time rotating day and evening shift position, PRN Weekends.
