Shift: Full- time rotating schedule with ever! y other weekend required.
General Summary: Assists the pharmacist by filling physician orders.
The order filling includes: IV manufacturing, topical medication compounding, unit dose medication repackaging which includes appropriate labeling, record keeping, medication cart filling, medication delivery to the nursing units, etc. All duties should be performed in an accurate and timely manner.
1. Fills Unit Dose Medication Carts accurately and efficiently.
2. Mixes Intravenous Solutions (IVPBs, Syringes, LVPs, TPNs & Irrigation's)
3. Makes daily patient medication cassette exchanges.
4. Checks expiration dates of medication inventory quarterly.
5. Maintains medication-dispensing areas as needed.
6. Delivers medications to the patient care areas
7. Responds to Pharmacy questions and requests as needed.
8. Returns discontinued medications to inventory.
9. Cleans areas in the department on an as needed basis

Qualifications !
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics:
- Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician
- High School Diploma
- Hospital experience a plus
- Two or more years of pharmacy experience with at least one year of IV admixture/chemotherapy experience.
- Computer Skills
- Must be comfortable and professional in communicating with their customers
- Ability to multi-task in a very busy environment.
- Pass math/pharmaceutical calculation test.
