Essential Responsibilities

  • Process customer orders from initial receipt through final packaging.
  • Review accuracy of all customer orders in a consistent manner
  • Set up, prepare and dispense radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Perform and/or supervise leukocyte labeling procedures.
  • Handle, package and deliver radiopharmaceuticals and hazardous materials in compliance with Company Policies, Corporate Standards and Health and Safety rules related to area of responsibility.
  • Monitor and maintain appropriate level of drug inventory and other business necessary supplies.
  • Actively participate in maintaining a safe work environment by completing required training, providing suggestions for improving the health! and safety program and bringing unsafe acts and/or conditions to the attention of management.
  • Perform required tests on equipment (e.g. dose calibrator constancy and survey meter checks) and manually record results.
  • Perform quality control tests on prepared products and manually record results.
  • Supervise employees to assure all activities are performed in compliance with regulations, Company Policies and Health and Safety rules.
  • Provide training to employees for all lab activities and for Corporate initiatives such as Environmental Health and Safety and Radiation Saftey
  • Exemplify compliance with all regulations, Company Policies, Corporate Standards and Health and Safety rules related to area of responsibility.
  • Process returned medical waste and maintain returned reusable supplies in compliance with all regulations and Company Policies.
  • Maintain cleanliness of lab in accordance with the facility housekeeping sc! hedules, which may include but are not limited to: mopping, sweeping, c! leaning and tidy work spaces, and removal of waste from facility
  • Manage bio-hazardous waste and prepare paperwork for its ultimate disposal
  • Complete radiation wipes and surveys on shipping containers, pharmacy supplies, incoming packages, work spaces and vehicles
  • Completes paperwork required for deliveries of outgoing customer products
  • Actively participate in maintaining a safe work environment by completing required training, providing suggestions for improving the health and safety program and bringing unsafe acts and/or conditions to the attention of management.
  • Support Pharmacy Operations by performing data entry into computer system
  • Assures the pharmacy is adequately staffed with trained employees in accordance with company requirements and to meet customer needs
  • Develop staff and pharmacy objectives and Communicates expectations to staff. Implements training and development plans for the pharmacy staff.
  • Reviews performance on a routine schedule and provides yearly performance evaluation
  • Perform reward and recognition and/or disciplinary actions for staff performance management
Qualifications/Requirements

  • Willing to submit to a drug test and background check
  • Licensed or eligible to become licensed to practice pharmacy
  • Eligibility for pharmacy licensure in the resident state and for authorized user status
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Ability to accommodate shift changes based on business needs
  • Valid drivers license to operate in necessary delivery area
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Minimum of 3 years work experience as a pharmacist and minimum 1 year in a supervisory position in a professional setting

  • Previous experience handling radioactive materials
