Valmet Air Emission Control Service Technology Unit is now looking for a Marine Emission Control Global Technology Manager to our Tampere or Raisio office.
Valmet’s Recovery and Energy Service Technology Unit in Service BL and PES BU provides services for combustion technology, recovery and air emission control solutions. We provide unique product, services, automation solutions and expertise which help pulp and energy producers recharge their business. Valmet Air Emission Control Service focus is providing services to after sales market and take care of Valmet delivered installations. We also provide studies, process modifications, retrofits, upgrades and heat optimizations to air emission control technologies for pulp, energy, panel board and marine customers.
Job description
The key tasks and responsibilities for this role include:
- Leading the marine emission control services business
- Global technology support, delivery coordination and reference management
- Drive, develop, implement and govern the global growth strategy for the product segment as a tool for decision making and alignment with Areas
- Allocate product engineering resources in proposal work, projects, R&D, service agreements, studies, trouble-shooting and other activities where product engineers are required.
- Develop competences and skills of the team
- Global pricing guidelines, global application policies and templates for technical specifications and participation to sales work with Areas.
- Research and technology development of new ideas, new and value adding concepts, products and services as well as development of cost competitive offerings for existing products.
- Manage global footprint of products under responsibility area
- Fostering resource cross-utilization incl cooperation with our other Valmet BL and BU
- Ensuring creation and execution of resource and skill development plans for the areas
- Global overview of relationship management of partners and sub-suppliers
- The position will require international travel
In marine emission control services customer contacts and support in Customer agreements and projects are major part of work. You will be responsible and work with Sales projects, Customer order projects as well as R&D projects in service deliveries.
Requirements
To be successful in this position you are M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Engineering. In addition to this you will need at least 5 years of working experience. Experience from marine industry and/or global after sales markets is highly valuated. You will be fluent in written and spoken English and Finnish. Other languages are considered as an advantage.
As a person you are innovative and skilled in technical calculations. You like to jump into the Customer cases, learn new things and like to present technical solutions to an audience. You will have a positive attitude, teamwork skills and a service mindset. You are a Team player but also able to find your own paths, both at work and when out travelling.
