Responsibilities
ADVENTIST REHABILITATION HOSPITAL of MARYLAND is seeking a Pharmacist with experience in the acute care hospital setting.
Responsibilties include:
Compounding and dispensing medications; evaluating patients for appropriate medication usage and dosing; providing patient education; and supervising pharmacy technicians in the preparation of medications.
1. Prepares and dispenses medications and provide patient-specific pharmacotherapy .
2. Complies with all accreditation, regulatory and safety requirements.
3. Participates in departmental performance improvement program.
4. Maintains a professional image and professional growth.
5. Participates in the process for assessing, managing and reporting medication errors.
6. Utilizes pharmacy support personnel.
7. Responds to req! uests for drug information.
8. Maintains confidential! ity of patient information.
9. Manages time effectively.
Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics:
1. Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy (BS/PharmD degree).
2. Current Maryland Pharmacist license required.
3. Strong customer service skills on the telephone and in face to face contact.
4. Ability to work independently and multi-task.
5. Proficient in Standard Business PC Applications, such as email, word processing, spreadsheets and other applications.
Work Schedule
The work schedule for this position will be as needed and will include: days; evenings; and weekends.
