Customer Care Specialist

Do you have patient admissions or patient intake experience in a medical environment? Are you looking to gain experience with an infusion company? If so, please take a closer look!

Initiates the admissions process for patient referrals by collecting demographic and insurance information on patients over the phone and acting as the primary contact for new and existing accounts.

Investigates type and level of insurance coverage to assess patient eligibility for the program

.

Communicates with medic! al professionals and insurance company personnel to expedite p! atient eligible into program.

May resolve reimbursement issues with accounts, sales force and management.

Completes data entry in CPRS to ensure accuracy of reporting and outcomes.

Investigates data entry issues to correct data warehouse reports.

Enters initial patient delivery ticket with appropriate billing information.

Monitors computerized reports to avoid delays in customer billing information.

Confirms with Sr. Admissions Representatives the timely resolution to un-voucherables.

Performs other related duties as directed by supervisor.

Qualifications

Education or experience equivalent to a high school diploma is required.

At least one year related experience is required.

Organizational, verbal, written communication skills are necessary.

Computer ability.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Constant talking and hearing.

Requires constant sitting with freq! uent and occasional standing.

Requires the use of hands to finger, handle or feel.

Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
